For those of you that practice Lenten season, here is a recipe that you can try for yourself. If you get tired of eating fish on Fridays, you can make this at home and give your taste buds a break from all the seafood. We hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of butter (melted)
- 1 large onion (caramelized)
- 8 oz lasagna noodles (cooked and drained)
- 8 potatoes (mashed)
- 1 pound of cheddar cheese (add cheese to mashed potatoes)
- grated Parmesan
Instructions:
- Get a 9×13 pan and grease it
- Layer 1: Noodles
- Layer 2: Half of the mashed potatoes
- Layer 3: Noodles
- Layer 4: Rest of mashed potatoes, onions and butter
- Layer 5: Rest of Noodles
- Top with some grated Parmesan and some cheddar cheese
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until cooked through
